Hello Parents and Students Happy New Year 2011! Welcome back to School today after the long holiday break. The 2011 CCLS Chinese New Year Celebration will be held on Sunday, Feb. 06, 2011. The time and place are listed below: When: Sunday, 02/06/2011, 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. Door opens at 12:30 p.m. Where: Ashland Mindess School 90 Concord Street Ashland, MA 01721
In order for us to enjoy the celebration, please follow the rules below: a. No foods or drinks inside the auditorium. b. Children under 6 years old must be supervised by adults at all time. c. When the program is in session, please no running, walking, chatting, or standing in the hallway. d. Videotaping or picture taking can only be done from the seat. No flash please. We will have seats reserved for the guests, event sponsors and all students. Please follow the signs to take the seats. Each class needs a couple of parent volunteers to help the teacher. Please let your child teacher know if you can help. Thanks. In addition to our well-prepared performance, rewards will be presented to the following students during the event: a. The 4th and 7th graders for learning Chinese for 5 and 8 years b. Teachers award for excellence in teaching c. Scholarship award from the Board ...... Of course, we will also have our traditional raffle lottery drawing at the Celebration. The award includes restaurant gift certificates, household items donated by friends of CCLS, and more. The Raffle ticket can be purchased at office during our School days of 1/23, 30, as well as before celebration starts on 2/06. $1.00 for one ticket, $5 for six tickets. The fund raised from raffle tickets will be used for our school activities. Please feel free to invite your friends, relatives, or neighbors to join our celebration. This is a good opportunity to show our school and Chinese culture to people and communities. All are welcome! We are looking forward to seeing you all in the celebration! Finally, please help to spread this to all our parents in case they do not receive the e-mail.
